Thierry Lhermitte, another Splendid member, demonstrated the ability to move between comedy and drama, becoming one of French cinema's most versatile performers.

Josiane Balasko proved that female comedians could carry major films, writing and starring in "French Twist" (1995), which dealt with sexuality and relationships with humor and humanity.
