Airbus's ZEROe project, aiming for hydrogen aircraft by 2035, employs hundreds of engineers in Toulouse. Startups like Blue Spirit Aero are developing electric aircraft for regional routes. The TARMAQ innovation campus focuses entirely on sustainable aviation.

"Climate change is aviation's existential challenge," states Dr. Sylvie Gautier, who leads hydrogen propulsion research. "If anyone can solve it, it's Toulouse. We have the expertise, the infrastructure, and now the urgency."
