A Personal Reflection
Throughout researching this book, I've been struck by the human stories behind French Tech's transformation. The Minitel engineer who became a startup mentor. The banker who left security to found a fintech. The immigrant who built a unicorn. The student who chose entrepreneurship over consulting. Each represents courage—to change, to risk, to dream.
These individual choices, multiplied thousands of times, created French Tech. Not government programs or investment funds, though these helped. Not technology or talent alone, though these were necessary. But people deciding that France could be different, that innovation could happen here, that the future could be built with French hands and minds.
